My parents and friends probably thought I was going mad but I knew better :-)

Update: the YouTube channel presenting the concert of the John Abercrombie Quartet at Antibes, 1979 was taken down.

Now really! Who is releasing cassette tapes in the digital age? Dauw a young Belgian label does.

Beautifully wrapped in a cardboard package, with inlay and dried flower, one can however only sympathize with so much love. They won a fan with me. The handmade artwork is done by Femke Strybol. Hurry up, a lot of editions are already sold out.

PS: no cassette player? Neither do I, when ordered on Bandcamp it comes of course with a digital download.

Black Flower is a Belgian band blending jazz and Ethiopian influences. Some of their records, like this Abyssinia Afterlife, are real beauties painted and designed by artist Kasper Baele.

Shocked to find out Leon "Ndugu" Chancler has left us. Famous for the Billie Jean groove yes but also drummer in my favorite band Weather Report. I caught him live once with the Santana/Wayne Shorter combination. RIP Ndugu.

Atmospheric take on Swiss drummer extraordinary  Jojo Mayer. He is unique, he is quirky, he's a true artist dedicated to art in a broad sense. If you understand German, you can try to grasp one of the deepest German dialects ever heard. Also featuring his band Nerve.
