Had a quick look at an old copy of
Modern Drummer
this morning and the name
Tony Verderosa
caught my eye. Tony dove into the combination of
electronic and acoustic drums a decade (or more) ago and
combined them with loops, grooves and keyboardhits/chords
almost like a DJ would do. I would love to trigger chords
like that.
Some people may not like this
approach to drumming and music. But at least this is an
interesting way of excercising/experimenting and would
enhance every drummer's skills and chops.
